Pink Pouch

The bag is one of a kind—no one else will have the same one. I painted it by hand and heat-set it. After that, I did some thread painting to give it a sketchbook-like quality. The background was free-motion quilted using a monofilament thread. Once all the artistic work was done, I put on my engineer hat, cut coordinating fabrics, some clear vinyl, and a cool zipper tape, and sewed it up. It's fully lined and hand-stitched closed by me. I am a one-woman show here.

The bag is rough 9.5" tall by 10" wide. It can be machine washed, closed on a delicate cycle, and lined dry. If your vinyl gets a little wrinkled (once dried), you can double an ironing cloth over it. Then iron on the lowest heat setting. Move it quickly, just transferring heat. NEVER let the iron sit on top. It will absorb heat so mind your hands as it cools.
